• Notes: The alternative routes are by way of the A810 Duntocher Road, the A809 Drymen Road, Bearsden, Canniesburn Toll Roundabout,  the A739 Switchback Road, Bearsden, Bearsden Road, Crow Road, the A82 Great Western Road, the A8014 Kilbowie Road, Hardgate, and the A810 Glasgow Road, and these routes will be signposted.  Vehicles exceeding the low railway bridge maximum height of 4.4 metres on the A739 Bearsden Road within Glasgow City Council’s area will be diverted by way of the A82 Great Western Road, Dorchester Avenue, Cleveden Road, Skaethorn Road, Cowal Road, and the A81 Maryhill Road, and these routes will be sign posted in advance, in both directions at Anniesland Cross and Canniesburn Toll Roundabout, Bearseden.

• Notes: The temporary road closures will be carried out in various phases and at times two side roads may be closed at the one-time during phases of the resurfacing works. • Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs, Closed between its junctions with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and Kenmure Drive, Bishopbriggs.

• Duration: 6am on Sunday 20 April 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 4 May 2025
• Notes:East Dunbartonshire Council made the named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed sections of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule below, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.
  
  As part of the works, the existing traffic signals will require to be switched off as required and rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road between the access road to Morrisons supermarket and a point north of its junction with Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

 Alternative diversion routes will be by way of Muir Street, Emerson Road, Emerson Road West, Lee Crescent, Crowhill Road, the B812 Auchinairn Road, Colston Road and the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted.

2. Crowhill Road, Bishopbriggs, Closed between its junctions with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and Emerson Road West, Bishopbriggs.

Alternative diversion routes will be by way of the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Colston Road, the B812 Auchinairn Road, and Crowhill Road, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted. South Crosshill Road, Wester Cleddens Road, Woodhill Road, Menteith Avenue and Springfield Road, Bishopbriggs, will also be sign posted.

3. Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs, Closed between its junctions with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and Kenmure Drive, Bishopbriggs

Alternative diversion routes will be by way of the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Brackenbrae Road, and Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted.

As part of the works, the existing traffic signals will require to be switched off as required and rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road between the access road to Morrisons supermarket and a point north of its junction with Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs. • Reason for closure: Network Railway Bridge Inspection Works.
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Roads affected: Crowhill Road at its junction with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and Emerson Road West

• Notes:All Classes of vehicles prohibited (except vehicles engaged in the works, and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works).

  Alternative route, shown on the plan below, will be as follows. Vehicles on the north side of the closure should proceed southwestwards then southwards on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road then eastwards on Colston Road then northwards and eastwards on the B812 Auchinairn Road then northwards on Crowhill Road to the south side of the closure

• Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
• Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
• Duration: Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on 17 September 2025
• Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025
  Alternative routes are be by of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Market Road, Kirkintilloch, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes are presently being sign posted
  Access to the closed section of road is presently only maintained for vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent the closed section of road. There is no access through the closed section of road for emergency service vehicles

• Road affected: A803 Kilsyth Road, between its junctions with the B757 Milton Road/Ledgate, and Eastside/Kelvinvale at Eastside Roundabout, Kirkintilloch. 
• Duration: 6am on Sunday 4 May 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 11 May 2025.
• Notes: Alternative routes, will be by way of the A803 Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch, the A891 Antermony Road, the B757 Birdston Road, Milton of Campsie, the B757 Milton Road, the A803 Glasgow Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, the B8048 Waterside Road, Kirkintilloch, the B8048, Auchinstarry Road, Howe Road, the B802 Airdrie Road, and the A803 Glasgow Road, Kilsyth, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Duration: 9.30am until 6pm hours on Wednesday 7 May 2025

• Reason for closure:BT carriageway reinstatement repairs.
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected:Dumgoyne Avenue
• Duration: 6am on Tuesday 15 April until 6pm on Saturday 19 April 2025.
• Notes: All Classes of vehicles prohibited (except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works).

  Alternative routes will be by of the B8050 Craigdhu Road, Clober Road, Craigton Road, Hunter Road, and Dumgoyne Avenue, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted. Internal routes will also be sign posted.

• Reason for closure: SGN carriageway reinstatement repairs.
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: Mosspark Road
• Duration: 9am on Wednesday 16 April until 6pm on Friday 18 April 2025.
• Notes: All Classes of vehicles prohibited (except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works). There are no alternative routes.

   

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Scottish Water is to carry out works to empty a septic tank.
• Town: Balmore
• Road affected: A807 Balmore Road at Acredyke Cottage
• Duration: 10am until 11.30am on Wednesday 16 April 2025 
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: The Council Roads Operations is to carry out footway resurfacing works
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Inveroran Drive, Bearsden, between its junctions with Kessington Road and Glendaruel Avenue
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 31 March 2025 for approximately six weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at peak times, each day, Mondays to Fridays. 

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Advance Construction Scotland is to carry out various works including new footway works, new drainage installations and a new temporary construction access 
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Auchinairn Road between a point east of its junction with Greenacres Roundabout and a point east of its junction with Auchinairn Roundabout
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 3 March 2025 for a period of approximately three months
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two, four and five way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required, will be used to control traffic movements.
  • Temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road east of its junction with Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs
  • Temporary five way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road at its junctions with Wester Lumloch Road, Miller Drive Robroyston Road at Auchinairn Roundabout, Bishopbriggs
  • Temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road from a point west of its junction with Auchinairn Roundabout to a point east of its junction with Greenacres Roudabout, Bishopbriggs
  • Temporary four way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Miller Drive at Lumloch Drive, Smith Way at the roundabout, Bishopbriggs.
    
    The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: BT is to carry out works to overhead cables
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected:Campsie Road just southeast of its junction with the B822 Campsie Road
• Duration:9.30am until 3.30pm on Friday 16 May 2025
• Notes: The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.
  
  Advance warning notification signs will be erected on street one week prior to the start of the works.

• Reason for temporary traffic management: BT is to carry out pole replacement works
• Town: Lennoxtown
• Road affected: Crow Road near Roughcraig House
• Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Friday 9 May 2025.  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic on Crow Road.
• Notes:In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Crow Road at the works location

• Reason for temporary traffic management: Network Rail is to carry out railway bridge works
• Town: Near Twechar
• Road affected:B8048 Waterside Road at at its junction with Twechar Road at Drumgew Bridge, near Twechar 
• Duration: 9.15am until 4.30pm, each day, from Monday 24 March 2025 for approximately two weeks, then thereafter, from 8pm until 6am, each night/morning for an additional two weeks until Friday 18 April 2025
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two/three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

  Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs, Closed between its junctions with the A803 Kirkintilloch Road and Kenmure Drive, Bishopbriggs.  The alternative diversion routes will be by way of the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Brackenbrae Road, and Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Duration: 6am on Sunday 20 April 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday 4 May 2025
• Notes: Access to the closed sections of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed sections of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works
  
  In addition, as part of the works, the existing traffic signals will require to be switched off as required and rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road between the access road to Morrisons and a point north of its junction with Kenmure Avenue, Bishopbriggs.  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. 

Town: Bearsden - EDC Roads Operations is to carry out footway resurfacing works.
Road affected: West side of the A81 Milngavie Road, between its junctions with MacFarlane Road and Kessington Road.
Duration: 9.30am on Monday 28 April 2025 for approximately four weeks.
Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements on Milngavie Road, Bearsden, between its junctions with Manse Road and Mosshead Road, Bearsden. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. 

The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

In addition, as part of the footway resurfacing works, I have attached temporary side road closures which will be in place on Gray Drive, Ferguston Road and Carrickarden Road, Bearsden.

Advance warning notification signs will be erected on street one week prior to the start of the works for both the temporary traffic management and temporary road closures.

Road affected: unnamed public footpath adjacent to Freeland Place/Luggiebank Road
Duration: 6am on Monday 17 March until 6pm on Sunday 27 April 2025.
Notes: Alternative routes for pedestrian will be by way of existing footpath network within Luggie Park, the existing underpass near the A806 Initiative Road/Parliament Road, existing footways on Parliament Road, Townhead, and Freeland Place, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
