Emergency road works

Scheduled road closures

- Road affected: Albert Drive, between its junctions with Kessington Road and Woodvale Avenue
- Duration: 6am on Monday 24 March 2025 until 6pm on Sunday 30 March 2025.

Alternative route - Vehicles on the north side of the closure should proceed southwestwards then southwards on the A803 Kirkintilloch Road then eastwards on Colston Road then northwards and eastwards on the B812 Auch-inairn Road then northwards on Crowhill Road to the south side of the closure.

Alternative routes, will be by way of the A891 Campsie Road, Lennoxtown and Milton of Campsie, the B757 Birdston Road, Milton of Campsie, and Milton Road, Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kirkintilloch Road, Kirkintilloch, the A807 Torrance Road, the B822 Main Street and Campsie Road, Torrance, and these routes will be sign posted.
- Reason for closure: Contractor carrying out various groundworks including the formation of a new access. These works are associated with the new Cala Housing Development presently under construction. There are also repairs being carried out on the existing former railway bridge on Chryston Road, due to corrosion discovered during the site investigation
- Road affected: Chryston Road, Fauldhead, at a location to the east of its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch
- Duration: Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on 17 September 2025
- Notes: In order to prevent danger to the public arising from damage to the structural integrity of the bridge over the former railway bridge and for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, East Dunbartonshire Council will require to extend the existing temporary road closure on Chryston Road Fauldhead, between its junctions with Market Road, Kirkintilloch, and Sauchenhall Road/Muckcroft Road from 6pm on Sunday 22 September 2024 until 6pm on Friday 31 March 2025

- Reason for closure: To allow a crane to be located on the centre of the carriageway and lift materials for SPEN works

- Reason for closure: Emergency SGN gas main repairs
- Town: Lenzie
- Road affected: The B819 Lindsaybeg Road between its junction with Orchard Brae and its junction with Orchard Field
- Duration: 2pm on Monday 10 February 2025 until 18.00 hours on Monday 3 March 2025

- Road affected: Allander Road from its junction with Ellangowan Road over its entire length
- Duration: 6am on Monday 24 February 2025 until 6pm on Friday 28 February 2025
- Notes: Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

- Road affected: Tower Road, near Torrance between its junction with Barraston Road and its junction with Glen Orchard Road
- Duration: 09.30am until 3.30pm on Thursday 6 March 2025

Scheduled temporary traffic management

- Road affected: Canniesburn Road, Bearsden, between its junction with the A809 Drymen Road and a point north of its junction with Tweed Drive
- Duration: 9.30am on Monday 6 January till Thursday 6 March 2025
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three and four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.
- Reason for temporary traffic management: EDC Roads Operations is to carry out footway resurfacing works

- Duration: 9.30am on Monday 3 March 2025 for a period of approximately three months
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two, four and five way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required, will be used to control traffic movements.
- Temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road east of its junction with Auchinairn Road, Bishopbriggs
- Temporary five way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road at its junctions with Wester Lumloch Road, Miller Drive Robroyston Road at Auchinairn Roundabout, Bishopbriggs
- Temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on the B812 Auchinairn Road from a point west of its junction with Auchinairn Roundabout to a point east of its junction with Greenacres Roudabout, Bishopbriggs
- Temporary four way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Miller Drive at Lumloch Drive, Smith Way at the roundabout, Bishopbriggs.
The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

- Town: Lennoxtown
- Road affected: B822 Crow Road near Roughcraig House
- Duration: 9.30am until 3.30pm on Friday 7 March 2025
- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.
- Reason for temporary traffic management: Council Transportation is to carry out various works associated with the active travel corridor.
- Town: Milngavie
- Road affected: A807 Auchenhowie Road, between a point east of its junction with Finlay Rise and Alllander Toll Roundabout.
- Duration: 9.30am on Monday 4 November till 4 April 2025
- Notes: This work is associated with the A807 Active Travel Corridor project.
The works area will be from east of the Rangers FC training ground to the Allander Toll roundabout. The works programme has been broken down into six phases, with each phase approximately 250m in length. In the interests of contractor and public health and safety, temporary traffic lights will be in place to manage the flow of traffic past each phase of work.
In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary two, three and four way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Auchenhowie Road between a point east of its junction with Finlay Rise and Allander Toll Roundabout. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing temporary traffic signals will require to be switched off and temporary four way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

- Road affected:Hunter Road south of its junction with Kirk Street
- Duration:9.15am until 2.30pm on Monday 10 March 2025

- Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facility will require to be switched off and temporary three way traffic signals incorporating a pedestrian crossing facility will be used to control traffic movements. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.
