• Duration: 8 June 2026 for one week
• Notes: These works are expected to be in place for approximately one week or until the works are completed. In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way smart traffic signals are being used to control traffic movements on Main Street at its junction with Rosehill Road, Torrance.

• Road affected: Inveroran Drive between its junctions with Glendaruel Avenue and Durness Avenue
• Duration: from 6am on Monday 1 June 2026 until 11.59pm on Monday 29 June 2026
• Notes: All classes of vehicle prohibited except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. Alternative routes will be by of Glendaruel Avenue, Rannoch Drive, Tyndrum Road, and Durness Avenue, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted. • Notes: All classes of vehicle prohibited except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.  Alternative routes are by of Muir Street, Emerson Road, Emerson Road West, Lee Crescent, Crowhill Road, the B812 Auchinairn Road, Colston Road and the A803 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs and these routes will be sign posted.

• Town: Fauldhead
• Road affected: Chryston Road between its junction with Market Road, Kirkintilloch and its junction with Muckcroft Road/Sauchenhall Road.
• Duration: from 10pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026 until 6am on Wednesday 1 July 2026.
• Notes:  All (except vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works). 

  Alternative routes will be by of Sauchenhall Road, Gartshore Road, Mollins Road, the B8048 Water-side Road, Market Road, Kirkintilloch, Calfmuir Road, and Muckcroft Road, and these routes will be sign posted.

  
  
  three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, between its junctions with Meadowburn and Westerhill Road, Bishopbriggs.The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

  Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works. There will be no access through the closed section of road for emergency service vehicles.

• Road affected: Washington Road and Bellfield Road between its respective junctions with the A803 Glasgow Road and Bellevue Road, Kirkintilloch

• Road affected: Waterside Road between its junctions Market Road and Merkland Drive and Waterside Road between its junctions with Iona Way and a point west of its junction with Braes O Yetts Drive

  Alternative routes, will be by way of the B8048 Waterside Road, the A806 Initiative Road, the A803 Glasgow Road and Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch, the A803 Glasgow Road, Kilsyth, the B802 Airdrie Road, Howe Road and Auchinstarry Road and the B8048, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Road affected: B819 Lindsaybeg Road, between its junction with the B757 Auchinloch Road and the A806 Initiative Road at Lindsaybeg Roundabout, Lenzie

• Road affected: North Dumgoyne Avenue, Milngavie, between its junction with Clochbar Avenue and Craigton Road (Service Road), Milngavie
• Duration: from 6am on Monday 6 July 2026 until 11.59pm on Friday 17 July 2026

  Alternative routes will be by of Clochbar Avenue, Craigton Road and North Dumgoyne Avenue, Milngavie, and these routes will be sign posted.

• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: A section of the A81 Strathblane Road, Milngavie, between its junctions with Marchfield and a point north of the access road to Nuffield Health Centre, Milngavie
• Duration: from 6am on Sunday 14 June 2026 until 11.59pm on Sunday 21 June 2026
• Notes: 

  Alternative routes will be by of the A81, the A807 though Milngavie and Balmore, the B822 through Torrance, and the A891 through Lennoxtown, and these routes will be sign posted. The B8030 and the B8050 through Milngavie, the A809, and the B834 near Croftamie, will also be sign posted.

  Access to the closed section of road will only be maintained for emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so during the works.

• Reason for traffic management: Virgin Media is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new cabinet
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: A810 Duntocher Road near Whitehurst, Bearsden
• Duration: from 9.30am until 3.30pm, each day, from Monday 6 July 2026 for approximately five days
• Notes:  In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, the existing pedestrian crossing facility will be switched off and temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movement on Duntocher Road.

• Reason for traffic management: Virgin Media is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new cabinet
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Canniesburn Road at its junction with Elderbank
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 8 June 2026 for approximately five days  
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movement on Canniesburn Road at its junction with Elderbank, Bearsden.

• Reason for traffic management: Scottish Water is to carry out repairs to damaged ironwork
• Town: Bearsden
• Road affected: Drymen Road near its junction with Collylinn Road,
• Duration: 9.30am on Sunday 19 July 2026 until 7am on Monday 20 July 2026, during the school summer holidays
• Notes: The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

  Advance warning notification signs will be erected on street one week prior to the start of the works.

• Road affected: Roman Road at the vehicular access to Antonine House Care Home
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 15 June 2026 for approximately five days
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movement on Roman Road at the vehicular access to Antonine House Care Home, Bearsden.
  
  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled betwen7am and 7pm, each day.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Reason for traffic management: A contractor is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new low voltage cable 
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: B812 Auchinairn Road east of its junction with Auchinairn Roundabout
• Duration: from 9.30am on Monday 22 June 2026 for approximately two weeks.
• Notes: These works are associated with the new housing development presently under construction on land to the south of Auchinairn Road, within Glasgow City Council’s area.  In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Auchinairn Road at the works location, from 9.30am on Monday 22 June 2026 for approximately two weeks.  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Reason for traffic management: SPEN is to carry out new connection works
• Town: Bishopbriggs
• Road affected: Balmuildy Road and Stirling Drive, Bishopbriggs, between a point south of Muirton Drive and Devon Gardens
• Duration: from 9.30am on Monday 29 June 2026 for approximately four weeks, during the school summer holidays. 
• Notes: These works are associated with the new Balmuildy Primary School.  In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Balmuildy Road and Stirling Drive, Bishopbriggs, between a point south of Muirton Drive and Devon Gardens, The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day, when the temporary roadworks effect Balmuildy Road.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Road affected: Meadowburn
• Duration: from 9.30am on Tuesday 9 June 2026 for approximately two weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements  on Meadowburn at the works location. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at peak times, Mondays to Fridays.

• Duration: from Tuesday 6 January for approx 6 months
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary traffic signals incorporating temporary pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements.
  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.  The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary two way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will be used to control traffic movements on Auchinloch Road/Kirkintilloch Road at the existing railway bridge,  The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled at all times.

• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 22 June 2026 for approximately three weeks
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, rolling temporary three and five way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movements on Kirkintilloch Road between its junctions with Gallowhill Avenue and Hazel Avenue, from 9.30am on Monday 22 June 2026 for approximately three weeks. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day. 

• Reason for traffic management: Virgin Media is to carry out works associated with the installation of a new cabinet 
• Town: Milngavie
• Road affected: A81 Glasgow Road at its junction with Dougalston Gardens North, Milngavie
• Duration: 9.30am on Monday 8 June for approximately five days
• Notes: In order for the works to be carried out in a safe manner, temporary three way traffic signals will be used to control traffic movement on Glasgow Road at its junction with Dougalston Gardens North, Milngavie, from 9.30am on Monday 8 June 29026 for approximately five days. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm, each day.

  • Kessington Road (North) from a point 30 metres or thereby east of the extended east kerbline of MacFarlane Road eastwards for a distance of 242 metres or thereby to its junction with Clathic Avenue and Killermont Road at the mini roundabout
  • Rannoch Drive (Northeast) from a point 30 metres northwest of the extended west kerbline of Lochaber Road north-westwards for a distance of 140 metres or thereby
  • Clunty Avenue (North) from its junction with Rannoch Drive, north-westwards for a distance of 120 metres or thereby.

• Traffic restriction: All classes of vehicles will be prohibited from making right turns
• Town: Kirkintilloch
• Road affected: from High Street into the new flatted housing development, and also from the new housing development access road onto High Street
• Duration: from 00.01am on Monday 8 June 2026 until 6pm on Friday 12 June 2026
• Notes: Vehicles prohibited from turning right from High Street into the flatted housing development will be diverted eastwards on High Street and Eastside then back around the roundabout then westwards on Eastside and High Street, and this route will be sign posted. Vehicles prohibited from turning right from the flatted housing development onto High Street will be diverted westwards on High Street then onto the A806 New Lairdsland Road, then onto the A803 Glasgow Road and Kilsyth Road, then onto Eastside and High Street, Kirkintilloch, and this route will be sign posted.

• Notes: From a point 29 metres or thereby northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Castle Court, Kirkintilloch northwards for a distance of 54 metres or thereby.

• Traffic restriction: Temporary no waiting and no loading restrictions order 2026
  East Dunbartonshire Council made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which makes it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle, with the exception of school buses, to wait or load or unload in the length of road specified in the Schedule by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public, as school buses are dropping off school pupils at Holy Family Primary School
