The Housing Department are in the process of completing a review of their Housing Applications and if you have a current application form you will receive a review letter which will detail all the information we hold on your housing application.
We are now asking all applicants to provide a copy of their photographic ID - this MUST be provided for fraud purposes.
The review letter will have 3 sections:
- Section 1 Your housing application details.
- Section 2 Your response re contact details, any changes and tenancy detail confirmation.
- Section 3 Data Protection (DP) statement and option to cancel your application.
You will also receive a pre paid self addressed envelope - you will be required to complete and return Sections 2 and 3 (1 double sided sheet) along with a COPY of your photographic ID.

When am I likely to get offered a house?
Allocation of council housing is based on housing need, the waiting time will depend on what house type, size and area you are queued for. We have 3 queues; Waiting list, transfer list and the priority list and we allocate approximately 250 Council houses per year between the 3 queues. 50% of lets are allocated to the priority queue, 30% to the transfer queue and 20% to the waiting list. We are unable to provide a queue position as the queue positions fluctuate on a daily basis as new applications are loaded with varying amounts of points. Can I give my details over the phone?
Unfortunately we are unable to take your details over the phone, you can either provide your details in the pre paid self addressed envelope, hand them into your local community hub or scan and email the forms to email@example.com please ensure 'CHR review' is in the subject line of your email. Please do not forget to send or scan your photographic ID as we now require this for fraud purposes.
Can I get assistance to complete the form?
If you require assistance to complete the form you can either come into one of our community hubs, (Kirkintilloch Hub, Lennoxtown Hub, Bishopbriggs Hub, Bearsden Hub) or you can phone the review hotline on 0141 777 3167 there will be a voicemail facility to leave a message and someone will call you back as soon as they can.
Can I send my original ID ie passport, drivers license?
Please DO NOT send original ID documents as we do not have a facility to return them to you. You can send a copy or if uploading digitally you can take a clear picture and email it or you can scan it in and email it that way.
What do I do if I don't have any photographic ID?
If you have no photo ID, a copy of your birth certificate or National Insurance card will be accepted provided it is accompanied by a passport size photo that is countersigned on the back by a professional person who can confirm your identity (teacher, doctor, civil servant etc).
What forms of photographic ID are accepted?
We can accept the following forms of ID; Passport, Drivers License, National proof of age card, Young Scot card.
What information do I need to return in the envelope?
You MUST return Section 2 and Section 3 and a copy of your photographic ID
How long do I get to return the information?
You must return all the information within 2 weeks of receiving your review letter. You will receive a reminder letter thereafter but please disregard this if you have already responded.
What happens after I have submitted my form?
Your application will be updated to confirm that you have responded to the review, your changes will be updated and your photographic ID will be saved to your folder. We will NOT write out to you to confirm receipt of your form however if you provide the information via email you will receive an automated email to confirm receipt of your submission.
What happens if I do not return the form or provide photographic ID?
If you fail to respond within the timescale you will receive a letter confirming that your application is cancelled.
