Working in partnership with the Scottish Government, Registered Social Landlords (RSL) and Developers we aim to maximise the provision of affordable housing in the area, which has one of the highest needs for affordable housing in Scotland.
Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP)
The Strategic Housing Investment Plan is part of the Local Housing Strategy and sets out the investment priorities for the Council which will guide applications for Scottish Government funding over a five year period.
The 2015-2020 SHIP confirms that over the next two years, 296 new homes for rent and affordable for sale are committed in East Dunbartonshire with a further 128 new homes planned from years three to five.
There will be number of tenure options available whether you wish to rent or buy or part own.
