Organised by the East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP), the open day will be informal and friendly with lots of opportunities to chat.
Visitors can chat with service representatives and get support and signposting on anything from substance use, mental health advice, domestic abuse, support for people who are neurodivergent and their families and housing queries to volunteering opportunities, fitness information and tips on consumer safety.
As well as Council and HSCP professionals from Housing, Child Protection, Older People’s Services, Whole Family Wellbeing, Justice Services, Alcohol & Drug Partnership, Trauma Informed Practice Team and many more, there will be an opportunity to learn about:
- Lifelink – An education and community service working with people aged 9 -26yrs.
- Women’s Aid
- Mind the Men
- East Dunbartonshire Association for Mental Health
- Home Energy Scotland
- Ceartas - Ceartas Advocacy provides Independent Advocacy to adults.
- With You – Offering free and confidential support, without judgement, to adults facing challenges with drugs and alcohol.
- HMP Low Moss Family Visitor Centre, Early Years Scotland – Working to ensure prison visits are as stress-free and fulfilling as possible.
- Marie Curie – Caring for people with dignity and love.
The wealth of expertise, skill and experience we have brought together under one roof is fabulous. Residents can get help and support with whatever is going on in their lives or the lives of their families.
Councillor Calum Smith, Chair of the HSCP Integration Joint Board said, “I’m delighted that this event is back for a second year, giving local people an opportunity to meet those delivering vital services within their community. It’s an opportunity for people to connect, get practical help and know that there is help right on their doorstep.
“My thanks to the East Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership and the ACEs and Trauma Collaborative who are organising the event and to everyone who is coming along to offer information and advice on the day.”
