The Credit Union Difference
There are all kinds of reasons to borrow from your credit union - there good rates and fair terms of course, but did you know that the income generated from our loans helps pay dividends on all member savings?
Whether you’re dreaming of a new car, home upgrades, or tackling unexpected expenses, borrowing from us means you’re investing in yourself and every member.
What sets us apart? At Scotwest Credit Union, it’s all about the 'Scotwest Difference'—we’re a member-owned financial co-operative, not a bank. That means every member has a voice, with equal say in our direction through a
'one member, one vote' system. Our volunteer Board of Directors, elected by you, guides our strategy, ensuring we stay true to our mission of serving our members, not external shareholders. Unlike traditional financial institutions,
our profits stay within the membership, circulating to empower our community through savings, affordable loans, and financial education. It’s a unique approach that’s been making a real difference in the West of Scotland and
beyond!
