Thank you for completing this survey and providing feedback.

The responses will help us to complete the initial Feasibility Design stage in early 2023.

The next stage will look to develop and assess more detailed sustainable transport options during 2023, with further public consultation expected to take place in autumn 2023.

The Council will continue to work closely with our delivery partners at Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport to identify preferred options along the corridor, with sustainable transport improvements to the corridor programmed to be completed by the end of 2026.

Residents, businesses and groups are being given the chance to help improve a busy route through Bishopbriggs and North Glasgow via an online survey (NOW CLOSED) and drop-in event.

The A803 Corridor Improvements Project is an element of the Council's £34.88 million Place and Growth Programme - supported by the UK and Scottish Governments through the Glasgow City Region City Deal.

The aims of the project - which also involves Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport - are to:

  • Increase the number of journeys by active and sustainable travel (walking, wheeling, cycling, and bus)
  • Improve bus reliability, air quality and local environments
  • Reduce dependency on the private car
  • Support inclusive growth and access to employment.

Initial consultation is taking place online between 8 and 22 November 2022.

Please note, there are no specific proposals at this stage - the survey aims to gather views to allow options and potential actions to developed.

A drop-in event took place on 15 November at Bishopbriggs War Memorial Hall. Meetings are also taking place with community groups and local schools.

Survey responses will inform a feasibility study to investigate what improvements could be made. This will be followed by further consultation.
