    This Technical Note will be published on the Council’s website following circulation to Members. Its contents may be disclosed or shared outwith the Council.

  • This is the second in a series of Technical Notes to update Members on the ongoing planning and arrangements for the upcoming By-election for Ward 7 Kirkintilloch East & North and Twechar.
  • Members will be aware that the By-election is scheduled to take place on 13 February 2025.
  • The timelines for the By-election are tight, not least due to the impending Christmas holidays, and there are numerous key dates which will be of interest to Members.
  • The table to this Technical Note sets out known dates and deadlines between now and polling day. Additional dates and deadlines have still to be determined e.g. postal vote opening sessions. The timeline will be renewed as arrangements are made, and Members will be updated accordingly.
