  • The purpose of this Technical Note is to advise Members of the recent death of former Councillor Bill Binks.
  • Former Councillor Bill Binks passed away on 21st October 2024 following an illness. He was a member of East Dunbartonshire Council from 2007 to 2012. He was then elected as a member of Renfrewshire Council and more recently was retired.
  • Bill was elected as a Member for the Milngavie Ward on 3rd May 2007. He represented the Conservative party and during his time on the Council was Vice Convener of the Social Services Committee, and thereafter the Social Work Committee. He was also Vice Convener of the Housing Appeals Board.
  • Officers will arrange for a letter of condolences to be sent to former Councillor Binks’ family.
