Family Munch Brunch in aid of David Philip Crooks Fund

Earlier this month Provost Gillian Renwick went along to the Family Munch Brunch at St David’s Memorial Park Church in Kirkintilloch – an annual fundraising event in aid of the David Philip Crooks Fund for The Brain Tumour Charity. Provost Renwick is pictured with George Crooks, father of David, who along with his late wife, Dorothy, set up the fund following the tragic death of their son David in 2008.

Provost Renwick said,

George and Dorothy have worked tirelessly over the years raising funds in memory of their son and to date the David Philip Crooks Fund has accumulated over £50,000!

Brain tumour charity

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally – so the money collected is being put to great use.”

Provost Renwick added, “It was lovely to meet George and support this very worthwhile cause.”
