Care of gardens

At a special meeting on 29 August 2024 East Dunbartonshire Integration Joint Board – which runs the local Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) - took the decision to cease funding the delivery of the Care of Gardens Scheme. 

The Scheme will terminate at the end of this season (October 2024).  This decision was taken by Board members in the context of the financial challenges facing all public bodies in Scotland, and specifically in line with their attempts to close the £13.349 million budget gap in 2025/26.

If you wish to explore purchasing private garden support, the HSCP would recommend that you use East Dunbartonshire Council’s Trusted Trader directory.  The East Dunbartonshire Trusted Trader scheme is a joint Council and Trading Standards initiative to provide a list of local and reputable vetted businesses and is recommended by Police Scotland and Consumer Advice Scot.
